Unlike epoxy coating of other products, this fully encapsulated silicon coating withstands sun's UV rays and prevents weatherizing and yellowing. Genuine 3M tape liner on the backside. For outdoor applications the tape liner is intended to keep the lights in place long enough so other means of liquid adhesive can be applied to the light. Alternatively soft silicon mounting brackets are included. For outdoor applications where 2-sided tape is the only means of securing the lights it is suggested to use 3M VHB tape (Cyron# TP5952-417).
